Deer Lake is a community nestled in the Laurel Highlands of SW PA, approximately 1 hour from Pittsburgh.  There are many original log cabins and cottage style homes surrounding the 77 acre lake.  Many vacation home buyers are attracted to this area because of it's character and sense of community.  There are walking trails around the lake, playground for children, sandy beach and picnic area.  You can fish, swim and canoe in the lake.  In addition, Ohiopyle and Nemacolin Golf and Ski Resort are just minutes away.  Summers are cool and fall color is gorgeous at Deer Lake.  I took this aerial photograph in late 2007.
