Farmington PA is a small mountain community located in the Laurel Highland Mountains in Fayette County. Farmington is approximately 15 minutes from Uniontown.
There are many fun things to do in Farmington! History Buffs will love the area. Fort Neccesity National Battlefield and Braddocks Grave. If you prefer Golfing or Skiing be sure to visit Nemacolin Woodlands. This 5 star resort offers 36 holes of championship golf with breaktaking mountain views. Relax at the Spa or take a spin at the Off Road Driving Academy and learn to drive a Hummer. Winter brings downhill and cross country skiing opportunities. Farmington is close to Ohiopyle PA where you can enjoy whitewater rafting and kayaking as well as hiking and biking.

Brownsville PA is located in the western most portion of Fayette County along the Monongahela River, about 35 miles south of Pittsburgh. Brownsville is home to Nemacolin Castle, a 22 room house museum, Dunlops Bridge - the first Cast Iron Bridge in America, Frank L Melaga Art Museum, the Flat Iron Building. H.R. 3221, the American Housing Rescue and Foreclosure Prevention Act of 2008 has passd.
This bill includes a temporary, $7,500 first-time home buyer tax credit which many believe will jump start the housing market and bring first time buyers off the sidelines. This $7500 tax credit would be available for any qualified purchase between April 8, 2008 and June 30, 2009. The credit is repayable over 15 years.

The expansion includes a new emergency department to offer the most advanced care in the region, reconfiguration of outpatient services and a patient tower with private rooms. Visit the official website to keep updated on the most current progress. When I visited their employment section today I saw that there were approximately 69 employment opportunities! This is great news for area job seekers.

The Coal and Coke Music Festival that is scheduled at Penn State, Eberly Campus on September 27, 2008.
